Law Society of Kenya

The Law Society of Kenya is 8,654 member body corporate and premier bar Association established by the Law Society of Kenya Act Chapter 18 of the Laws of Kenya. Its statutory objects as provided in section 4 of the Act include to assist the Government and the courts in all matters affecting legislation and the administration and practice of the law in Kenya.It also has the mandate to advise and assist members of the legal profession, the government and the larger public in all matters relating to the administration of justice in Kenya.

Featured Project

On 14th February 2008, PIN held a consultative meeting with the new leadership of Parliament. The newly elected Speaker of Kenya National Assembly the Deputy Speaker and the senior leadership agreed to a consultative briefing meeting of the Parliamentary Initiatives Network (PIN) attended this meeting whose purpose was dual: to brief and introduce the senior leadership of Parliament to PIN and its outlook of coordinated support to Parliament; and, getting the leadership interact and familiarize itself with which each of the member organizations mandate especially vis-à-vis the focus on Parliament.
