Africa Youth Trust (AYT)

Africa Youth Trust (AYT) is a non-profit organization that was established to spearhead the Youth Led Development model in Kenya with a view to replicate it in other African Countries.

AYT develops and implements programs aimed at engaging Youth in addressing specific concerns affecting them, as well as enabling their participation in the development of policies, and in decision making at all levels of society. In addition, AYT combines the concepts of positive youth led development, principles of community mobilization and organization, and active citizenship, to enable youth participate in law making through engagement with Parliamentarians, Government Ministries and other Public and Private Sector institutions in policy development and legislative review.

Featured Project

On 14th February 2008, PIN held a consultative meeting with the new leadership of Parliament. The newly elected Speaker of Kenya National Assembly the Deputy Speaker and the senior leadership agreed to a consultative briefing meeting of the Parliamentary Initiatives Network (PIN) attended this meeting whose purpose was dual: to brief and introduce the senior leadership of Parliament to PIN and its outlook of coordinated support to Parliament; and, getting the leadership interact and familiarize itself with which each of the member organizations mandate especially vis-à-vis the focus on Parliament.
